Holy Weekend! How was yours!? Do you ever have those weekends that are so busy you begin a new week more exhausted than you were on Friday night? Soccer Saturdays are right around the corner and this weekend we went into turbo mode getting stuff done before Saturdays are gobbled up with glorious soccer days. We cleaned the garage, I built some shelves for my son (will post soon), we swapped out a tv stand, two dressers, a desk and worked on the pool. And that was just the morning. On top of that the baby got sick, boo on that front. I’m tired, but happy will all the progress.
At the risk of tree house overkill this is playroom stool that I built to match the overall theme. At first I was thinking a little ‘eh’ on the project, but I am pleasantly surprised how often it is used. It didn’t turn out perfectly, not even close, but it adds character and I’m all for that. The plans are all on the Ana White website, I just put my own spin on it. I used some left over floor board for the seat, used a bowl to trace out the pattern, and dressed it up a bit to look leafy:
Cut out the wood according to the plan:
And viola! This was an easy project to personalize the space even more.
Happy Monday to you all, and happy creating!
