Thank you to many of you that commented on the teen bedroom reveal post with comments & questions! I’m realizing I need to better job helping you know where to find all the instructions and the details so you can gather some great teen bedroom ideas. But, before we jump into this, join my tribe on Facebook! We’re just getting going and we’d love to have you on board…
The ideas for this room really started flowing during my son’s first middle school dance. B.o. and cologne wafting together in the air really takes you back to the day in a hurry doesn’t it? The whole room took me a few months to complete as I juggled strong preferences from both kiddos. It was completed project by project, but it was so worth it. And the entire bedroom cost a little less than $500 for all the supplies, furniture, everything! Of course mom hours were free, as always. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Hopefully this post answers some readers questions about the process.
Okay, Katie asked, “what paint colors did you use?” Here is the paint! Sherwin-Williams, from the Pottery Barn kids collection “In The Navy” and “Dill”. Green is a color that’s hard for me to decorate with so I used the pamphlets in the store to make sure the green and blue coordinated well. I love the two colors together.
Jack commented, “I want to know more about the barn wood dresser. Where do I find the tutorial?” Well Jack, I love the dressers too! They really are my favorite part of this room. I’ll list all the tutorials below so you can find what you’re looking for!
