Our moving truck, new residence
Moving is no fun at all. I do not like it. Not even a little bit. So, instead of a long (super boring) tale, the basic gist and the reason for my blogging hiatus is that my husband was transferred to the new headquarters for his company and as it turns out I kinda like being married to the guy so we all followed him. Or as my sister put it, “Mike is moving and he has invited Sarah to go with him.” We left our stunning red rock for the soaring granite peaks of Northern Utah. It is truly gorgeous here but I am still reeling and in a mini-depression over leaving friends, family, and a pool (let’s just be honest).
For my first-blog-in-oh-so-long I am posting a before & after home tour. It’s blog therapy for me people. The first picture of each space will be from the previous owners, and the next how I left it (sniffle.) It is so hard to leave my home when I feel like a little piece of my heart will be left in each room. The pictures are from the real estate listing. I had to de-clutter and de-personalize the space for house hunters, so it isn’t how I actually lived in it everyday, but close enough, right? Later this week I’ll post the pictures again with a list of the projects I blogged about in each room. (And more on the woes of moving in future posts.)
I love this house. Am I proud of everything? Not even close. Did I have any projects I needed to work on or things I wanted to change? About a zillion. Still, it was home. I miss it, but it’s good to be back online friends!

Be back soon! I would love to hear your comments.
Happy Creating!

Oh my goodness! What a drastic change! I would love for the former owners to be able to see the miracles you worked in that house. I completely agree: I HATE moving! And even though each time we’ve moved, we’ve upgraded (we’re on house #7), I’ve never liked the new house as well as the previous until we’ve lived in it for a while and made it our “own.” I’m sure you will do the same for your new house-unfortunately, it just takes time (and money, and lots of effort…but you already know all that!). Can’t wait to see the new house!

Man we miss you guys! It just isn’t the same AT ALL! I am happy that you are posting again though, maybe it will feel like you are back here?! Can’t wait to see your new house, the scenery looks BEAUTIFUL!
I hate moving too, and I hate that you moved! I can’t wait to see all of your new adventures and projects though.
This is a complete makeover, done beautifully and inexpensively. The best part…it turned a roof and 4 walls into home.
