Monday hit me like a ton of bricks this week. School projects, groceries, laundry, sick kids, and a girl trip this weekend have me aghast it is already past noon! As I have been zooming around town the American flags enlist an air of nostalgia for the holiday today. I feel a reverence for the women and men that are fighting and have fought for our freedoms. I grew up an army brat. My dad was in the army, green berets. He went to West Point and like his father and grandfather, they have served our country well. I am thinking a lot about my great grandfather today. He was a WWI vet and worked on the railroad his whole life. I posted once on the train he built that sits proudly in my entry.
I plan on taking my kiddos to a Veterans memorial today and hope you get a chance to commemorate this day also!
Tomorrow I will post on the great glory that is the Dollar Store… I know you will be waiting with bated breath! Until then!

I was commemorating in the hospital with a son with a ruptured appendix. I am hoping for a more meaningful celebrating next year… 🙂
